
Round Table “Called to Life in Fullness” Discusses Issues of Youth with Mental and Complex Disorders
Participants of the round table discussed important issues related to education, employment, and emotional exhaustion of parents and caregivers of young people with mental and complex disorders. The event was important for drawing public attention to the problems of this category of people and promoting their return to a full life and integration into society. Father Roman Budzynsky emphasized the importance of the church’s participation in such events and drew attention to young military personnel who return from war with serious injuries and the consequences of psychological stress they experienced.

On March 24, 2023, the Caritas Ternopil-Buchach Foundation and the Social and Humanitarian Faculty of the Western Ukrainian National University organized a roundtable discussion called “Called to Life in Fullness” in the conference hall of the Social and Humanitarian Faculty. The meeting discussed important issues related to the support, education, and integration of youth with mental and complex disorders, employment opportunities, emotional exhaustion of parents and caregivers, lack of universal design, and cooperation with local self-government bodies, public organizations, cultural and educational institutions.
The event was attended by the Mitred Protopriest Roman Budzynskyi, who emphasized the importance of the Church’s participation in such events. In particular, he drew attention to young military personnel who return from war with severe injuries and the consequences of psychological stress.
This roundtable was an important event for the community as it helped draw attention to the problems of youth with mental and complex disorders, including young military personnel. These gatherings are necessary to help people with mental or complex disorders return to full life and integrate into society.
